HEINKEL at ACHEMA 2018: Focusing on quality and safety
HEINKEL is showcasing its full expertise in solid-liquid separation at this year’s ACHEMA. The industry specialist will be presenting select product highlights as well as the inerting system HEINKELCentripurge, unique in the industry, for highest requirements up to SIL 3 at ACHEMA at stand B8 in Hall 5.0.
The product portfolio of the industry specialist ranges from vertical centrifuges, horizontal peeler centrifuges, sedimentation and classifying centrifuges through inverting filter centrifuges to lab centrifuges and ball segment valves.
Reliable in continuous operation with high throughput: horizontal peeler centrifuge H 630 C from HEINKEL
At ACHEMA 2018, the company is presenting the newly designed H 630 C, in compact design, a horizontal peeler centrifuge for chemical applications. Due to the reduced distance between the drive shaft and the support foundation, the centrifuge now has considerably less weight and optimal vibration behavior. Specially designed for continuous operation with high throughput, the centrifuge can be used in a larger execution wherever low residual moisture, optimal washing and extraction effects, flexibility with changing products as well as a high batch frequency are required.
HEINKELCentripurge sets benchmarks in inerting
With the horizontal peeler centrifuge, HEINKEL is presenting its new inerting system HEINKELCentripurge compliant with SIL 3 – an unprecedented inerting solution for maximum requirements in areas with a high explosion risk which can be used for all machine types of the HEINKEL Drying and Separation Group as well as third-party brands. Based on the state of the art and approved by TÜV SÜD, it guarantees adherence to the latest safety regulations, provisions and standards.
The inerting concept is suitable in particular for applications in the pharmaceutical and chemical sector wherever stringent requirements are made of quality and safety, such as in the manufacture of active pharmaceutical ingredients (API), agrochemicals and dietary supplements. It’s in the responsibility of plant operators to evaluate dangers and risks for both people and the environment caused by possible explosions. This concept enables them to implement the appropriate safety precautions. The modular design enables simple adaptation to less challenging applications. The customer thus benefits from an optimization of costs, time and reduced validation effort.
State-of-the-art control for diverse applications
The horizontal peeler centrifuge HEINKEL is presenting exemplarily at ACHEMA features the latest control concept based on S7/TIA. With a simple user interface, system extension options as well as worldwide remote maintenance, this offers users both maximum flexibility and the highest degree of tamper protection. The Simatic TIA portal from Siemens facilitates the efficient use of modern control technology and increases both productivity and the reliability and service life of the system.
Extended product lines
Another highlight at the exhibition stand is the inverting filter centrifuge in the new sanitary design, which HEINKEL has developed especially for the highest hygiene requirements in the areas of API and food. Furthermore, HEINKEL will be presenting its tried and tested ball segment valve which is used for processes in the pharmaceutical and fine chemical sectors on process equipment such as vacuum dryers, reactors and centrifuges – as both an inlet and discharge valve. The reliable, vacuum- and pressure-tight process valve is suitable even for bulk goods with an abrasive effect or moist, adhesive characteristics. With its new size HEINKEL has extended the range of applications of the ball segment valve thereby fulfilling increasing market demands.
