Comprehensive modernization project with new control system

The project requirements were high: ATEX conformity, compliance with the guidelines for being awarded CE marking, a new S7 control system as well as a modern ball segment valve were the objectives in a project of a leading international customer from the pharmaceutical industry. Since the start of the project, the HEINKEL Drying and Separation Group was able to successfully implement the objectives within eight months.

Efficient heel break system from COMBER for heel-free product yield

As one of the leading manufacturers of agitated nutsche filters and filter dryers for the pharmaceutical, fine chemical, chemical and food industry, COMBER has developed an ingenious heel break system for its Pressofiltro agitated nutsche filters and filter dryers to break up the heel remaining after the product has been discharged.

Test results exceed the expectations: customer opts for a system solution

A contained system consisting of a centrifuge and dryer as well as a successful test series were the decisive criteria for a new customer in the food industry when choosing the HEINKEL Group.

COMBER Pressofiltro® Filter Dryer for aseptic API and fine chemicals

For the manufacture of sterile parenterals, i.e. substances which are intended for injection, infusion or implantation into the human or animal body, the issue of sterilization of process equipment is of high priority. In addition to a local cleaning of a process plant, also known as Clean in Place (CIP), many pharmaceutical processes require therefore a subsequent sterilization (sterilization in place). For example this can be ensured by steam sterilization. In this respect all product contacted surfaces should be coated safely and for a defined period with pressurized steam of at least 121 °C.

Reliable, efficient and precise: The new generation F-type inverting filter centrifuges

The newest generation of the F-type inverting filter centrifuges from HEINKEL convinces with efficiency, user-friendliness and refined design. The F series is particularly suitable for fragile, difficult-to-filter products with a fine crystal structure and which need to achieve a high degree of purity and low residual moisture.

JONGIA´s highly efficient systems

For the manufacture of paints and lacquers JONGIA offers its dual mixing system consisting of an anchor type mixer combined with a fast running dissolver for mixing in additives. This combination can replace some of the commonly used expensive “column type” mixing systems. The anchor mixer keeps the mixture homogeneous and is fed by the fast running mixer. A single or double special design multi counter-flow element ensures perfect homogeneity.

Double benefit: classifying and decanting

For industrial classification of fine and ultrafine particles up to nano-particles, HEINKEL has developed high-performance centrifuges which can be used for wet classification as well as decanting. The classifying centrifuge TIOCENT enables a precise cut, high throughputs and provides optimum classification results while maintaining high efficiency and consistent availability.

Flexible, economic, reliable: HEINKEL coating centrifuges

The coating centrifuges which were originally developed by Ellerwerk and optimized by HEINKEL enable optimal results when lacquering, coating, lubricating or treating smaller parts or components with zapon lacquer. When designing the machines the HEINKEL experts put a special focus on easy operation, smooth maintenance and reliable high-quality results.

Modernising a third-party centrifuge with duplex stainless steel basket

The HEINKEL Drying and Separation Group convinced a global player in the USA with the outstanding features of the unique centrifuge basket made entirely of duplex stainless steel.

Avoiding contamination by “lift-off” mechanical seal

In the field of mechanical and thermal separation, the HEINKEL Group often uses mechanical seals besides shaft seals and stuffing boxes. For the manufacturing of API (Active pharmaceutical ingredients) and fine chemicals, usually non contacting, gas lubricated (lift-off) mechanical seals are used. In the field of horizontal dryers, this solution which prevents cross contamination is increasingly applied by COMBER customers who prefer inert gases as a lubricant.
