Drying of fragile and sensitive solid products in the pharmaceutical, fine-chemical or food processing industry demands a protecting and gentle drying process. At the end only this will guarantee a reliable unfailing and reproducible quality of the finally dry product. In this respect ordinary common contact dryers soon are stretched to their limits. For this reason the conical screw dryer has well proven itself for drying applications with demanding products.
With a big ceremonial act HEINKEL Drying and Separation Group has opened a new office and assembly hall on 15 November 2017 in Foshan next to the Southern metropolis Guangzhou in China thereby strengthening its presence and competitiveness in the Asian market .
The HEINKEL Drying and Separation Group has opened a new office and assembly hall in Foshan near Guangzhou, thereby strengthening its presence and competitiveness in the Asian market.
Head and owner of HEINKEL Drying and Separation Group and Stibbe Management, Philip Stibbe, explains the vision of the group in this interview.
HEINKEL Drying and Separation Group demonstrated its worldwide presence from August until October already showcasing at four international events in Europa and Asia in 2017.
Service on site, around the clock, seven days a week – something the HEINKEL Group demonstrated perfectly with a leading international customer from the pharmaceutical industry. Process engineering adaptations carried out by a competitor on a HEINKEL inverting filter centrifuge led to a stop in production – HEINKEL localized the error on site in next to no time and got the facility up and running again.
The project requirements were high: ATEX conformity, compliance with the guidelines for being awarded CE marking, a new S7 control system as well as a modern ball segment valve were the objectives in a project of a leading international customer from the pharmaceutical industry. Since the start of the project, the HEINKEL Drying and Separation Group was able to successfully implement the objectives within eight months.
As one of the leading manufacturers of agitated nutsche filters and filter dryers for the pharmaceutical, fine chemical, chemical and food industry, COMBER has developed an ingenious heel break system for its Pressofiltro agitated nutsche filters and filter dryers to break up the heel remaining after the product has been discharged.
A contained system consisting of a centrifuge and dryer as well as a successful test series were the decisive criteria for a new customer in the food industry when choosing the HEINKEL Group.
For the manufacture of sterile parenterals, i.e. substances which are intended for injection, infusion or implantation into the human or animal body, the issue of sterilization of process equipment is of high priority. In addition to a local cleaning of a process plant, also known as Clean in Place (CIP), many pharmaceutical processes require therefore a subsequent sterilization (sterilization in place). For example this can be ensured by steam sterilization. In this respect all product contacted surfaces should be coated safely and for a defined period with pressurized steam of at least 121 °C.
The newest generation of the F-type inverting filter centrifuges from HEINKEL convinces with efficiency, user-friendliness and refined design. The F series is particularly suitable for fragile, difficult-to-filter products with a fine crystal structure and which need to achieve a high degree of purity and low residual moisture.
