Filtration and drying of CBD isolate crystals

More and more often, individual substances are used in medicine such as Cannabidiol (CBD) which is extracted from Cannabis, the female hemp plant. CBD is said to have many positive health benefits, not being psychoactive and therefore not producing intoxication when taken. Indeed the effects are described as anticonvulsant, anti-inflammatory, anti-anxiety and anti-nausea.

The filtration and drying process of CBD isolate crystals
These process technologies involve two methods of processing the crystals, both processes are PATENTED:
- The COMBER Pressofiltro® agitated nutsche filter dryer will both filter and dry the crystals in the same machine.
When the process demands filtering, washing, and drying the product, a jacketed COMBER Pressofiltro® agitated nutsche filter dryer is the best choice for handling all of these process steps in the same machine. Crystallisation can be performed in a separate reactor or in the Pressofiltro®.
Second PATENTED process method:
- For high volume production and the most flexibility, the HEINKEL inverting filter centrifuge HF is paired with one or more of the COMBER or BOLZ-SUMMIX conical vacuum dryers.
The HEINKEL inverting filter centrifuge HF is combined with one or more of the COMBER or BOLZ-SUMMIX conical vacuum dryers when high volume production and the most flexibility are required. The inverting filter centrifuge HF mechanically removes most of the solvent. The dryer completes the process by thermally removing residual solvent.
